Good News in COLOR!

Is there really any good news in the world today?

So many people feel like there is nothing good.
I felt the same way!

Then, I really listened to this story for the first time and found the best news!

The message represented by colors is a true story of unconditional love and forgiveness that could change your life forever!

Gold reminds us of heaven. Heaven is a perfect place where God lives. In heaven, there is no
sadness, no sickness, no tears. God declares,
I have loved you with an everlasting love.¹ Since God’s love has no end, he wants us to live with him in heaven someday. But, in order to be in heaven, God says we must be without sin – as pure and as righteous as he is.

Black reminds us of the darkness of sin. Sin is
anything we say or do that displeases God or
breaks his laws. No one had to teach us how to
sin because we were born knowing how to do wrong.  It is recorded that all have sinned,² and it is our sin that separates us from God. Even one small lie would stain and spoil a perfect heaven.

Red reminds us of Jesus, God’s perfect, only son. God loves us so much, he sent Jesus to take our place. Jesus paid the penalty for the sin of the world by dying on the cross for us. The payment for sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life…³ Eternal life is a gift from a loving God. We cannot earn it by our good works;⁴ it is free for anyone who believes in Jesus: Whoever believes in me, has eternal life.⁵

 White reminds us of purity and righteousness. From the moment we believe in Jesus as our only hope to get to heaven, we are God’s child. We are part of his family forever!⁶ Now, when God sees us, instead of seeing our sin, he sees the righteousness and purity of Jesus – The righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe.⁷

What a priceless exchange! For God has made Christ, who knew no sin, to be sin for us, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Christ.⁸

So that this story can become personal to you…

•  Will you agree with God that you have sinned by breaking his laws and that your sins
  separate you from God?
•  Will you agree with God that there is nothing good or religious you can do to pay the penalty for your sins?

If you answered “yes” to God…

•  Will you now believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for all your sins and rose again to give you his righteousness?

If you did this, God declares you are his child. But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.⁶ You can know,⁹ without a doubt, that your sins are forgiven and that you will go to heaven someday!

Whoever believes in Jesus has eternal life!¹⁰

Finally, Green reminds us of growing. Once you become God’s child, you will always be his child. He wants you to grow in your relationship with him as your heavenly Father.

Reading your Bible will help you know God. He wants to hear from you when you pray. He desires that we spend time with other believers so we can grow together.

Yes, understanding God’s unconditional love and accepting his forgiveness does change your life forever! What a wonderful Savior and heavenly Father God is!
